Developed as part of the TechRoanoke conference in 2015, our voter canvassing application (TRC or "Trusted, Reliable Canvassing" for short) is a browser friendly client that allows easy access to the latest Washington state voter file. It can be easily used on your smart phone or tablet with a data connection. Over 200 campaigns were provisioned to use TRC during the 2015 election cycle.
Your Data Is Yours
The TRC app is built on the notion of "sandboxes". That is, each campaign or group gets their own space and copy of the data to work with. This way, Candidate A is not working off of the same copy of a file as Candidate B although they may be running in the same district.
Ease-of-Use From the Ground Up
There are no apps to download and nothing to provision. Everything is web based so the application works just as well from your desktop or on smart device including phones and tablets. Provisioning new volunteers is a snap. Provisioning a volunteer is as simple as entering their email address.
Each view begins with a list of the available precincts to work with.
Clicking on the Share this... icon allows you to share precinct level of data with any number of volunteers or PCO's. Simply enter their email and a link will be sent to them they can click to access to just the data you want them to see. Revoking access is just as easy.
Rich Graphics and Reporting at Your Fingertips
Charting and graphing are provided on key statistics for each voting district and precinct. Party identification, which is available to select candidates and party organizations, is provided for approximately 95% of Washington state voters. Voting history and age distributions are also provided.
Drill Down Capability to the Precinct Level
TRC allows you to drill down to the precinct level to see historical voting patterns so that you can see at a glance how a precinct leans towards certain candidates and key issues.
What Users Are Saying
Don't take our word for it on how good it is. Here are some testimonials from TRC users:
“I truly appreciate the new advanced voter app. It is very convenient to follow. The historical statistics are very helpful in understanding the demographics of our community. Thanks for the hard work. I am excited to use it.”
Penny Coffey, Dupont City Council (http://www.pennycoffey.com/)
"It is the easiest and most effective app I have seen yet. It requires very, very little training, will run on any platform … and lets the PCO's keep a copy of their precinct data for their use. You will be impressed. … as it is, It works like what we have been wanting."\
Dale Fonk, 45th LD Chair

“This is perfect for a phone or iPad with just the right amount of info for doorbelling. The best part is it has each street in a very manageable format. I have used paper lists, tested many other platforms and it was too complicated and confusing to setup for each PCO. This works now! Thank you!!!!”

“As a District Leader, my PCO’s can easily have their walking list in their hand RIGHT NOW!”
